Rural Events Grant Scheme

To support organisations and community groups to host events to encourage more tourists and visitors to Rural Conwy.

To arrange and host 5 major showcase events per year for 3 years which will futher develop and promote the economy of Rural Conwy.

To diversify the rural economy by strengthening the rural tourism and business opportunities in the area, promoting a ‘sense of place’ to do business, resulting in a stronger economy throughout with increased employment opportunities.

To achieve this aim it is important to work in partnership with the rural business community, local associations and chambers of trade, business support agencies, service providers and decision makers. The showcase events would support and not compete with current events. To this end, it is recommended that the project should develop an annual schedule of events which will support and nurture a more structured approach to showcasing new business initiatives and opportunities.
